Pay One Bill (Single Bill)
You'll receive two bills: one bill from MCPC and another bill from CMP.
You can ignore your CMP bill and pay only your MCPC bill. We forward your payment to CMP on your behalf and include all discounts, so you only have to pay one bill each month.
Bill
Charges
MCPC Bill
- The cost of kWh credits from our community solar program
- The balance of your CMP bill (delivery charge, fees, excess usage)
- Your discount and savings
CMP Bill
- Delivery charge
- Any fees (e.g., smart meter opt-out, late fees)
- Electricity usage not covered by solar credits
Continue to pay your CMP bill until you receive credits from our community solar program. You can check the second or third page of your bill for a Your Generation Details table or contact us with any questions. We're here to help!
To use the Pay One Bill option, you must:
- Select Credit Card as your payment method,
- Turn ON AutoPay for your MCPC account,
- Turn OFF AutoPay for your CMP account (to avoid being charged twice for the same bill).
A member may not be eligible to participate in the Pay One Bill method if:
- They are enrolled in the Central Maine Power (CMP) Arrearage Management Plan, SimplePay, or other non-standard payment plans,
- They incur a monthly Smart Meter Opt-Out Fee or other avoidable recurring fees on their CMP bills.
We'll send you a Maine Community Power Cooperative (MCPC) bill every month for the cost of the solar credits, the amount owed CMP, including your discount and savings.
You'll still get a bill from Central Maine Power (CMP) every month, but your bill will be much lower including just your service charge (currently $30.21 for residential customers) and any other fees.
